Swing Night 2000!

The historic Redford Theatre presented their annual live swing presentation,
The Spring Swing, featuring a full swing orchestra, and dancers as well!

The Redford Theatre is
located at 17360 Lahser,
in Detroit, Michigan (on
the NorthWest side, or
"Old Redford".

If you're local to the area,
it's worth a visit!

They have a wonderful theatre organ,
on which master guest organists
play overtures before films,
and also play during
intermissions (yes,
they actually
have intermissions!)

Robert, Amy and Diana attended the Spring Swing
this year - and we had a great time!

Note that the photos, taken from a plain 35mm automatic camera, don't do the event nor
the theatre justice!  The lighting was very good, as was the sound and the set!

The orchestra leader played clarinet and saxaphone:
Diana & Amy's instruments, respectively!

We've attended films at this
beautifully restored theatre
(including White Christmas and
the James Bond film, Dr. No),
but this was clearly one of their
most popular events - and one
of our favorite experiences there!

We hope to return next year ... if you're
from Michigan, perhaps we'll see you there!
